When will fresh sardines be available?

When will fresh sardines be available? We have been to the village three times last year and missed the sales. Will there be advance notice this time? Reply: Thanks for asking, Tony. Sorry you missed the slippery little devils three times last year. The fact of the matter was that there were notices on this site during the sardine season, too bad you missed them.

Glen Budden, the owner of the Ocean Venture, Steveston's only boat licensed to harvest sardines emails me regular updates. His latest email stated he expects the sardine season to open in August.
