When are Crab and Prawn Boats in the Harbor?

Just curious, but when do the prawn/crab boats come in? Are they seasonal? Are they there 7 days a week? What time of day? Reply: Thanks for asking, Scott, but I'm not sure when they'll be in, but it's usually the weekend. As more shoppers are in the village on weekends, there are generally more fishers selling on weekends—Friday thru Sunday—than during weekdays, from around 8 am to 7pm or so.

Most fisheries are seasonal. Due to health department rules, they are not allowed to sell shellfish—crabs, clams, etc.—off their boats, even if they're licensed to catch them, but they can sell prawns and shrimp and other seafood. For more detailed info, check out our Public Fish Market page.
