WEBSITE NEWS UPDATE: New Promotional Service For Eligible Steveston Merchants March 8, 2011

Hello,

I don't have a day off today, but I do have my mornings free and have done some more work updating the look of the site.

Changed over the Shopping main page this morning and it looks reasonable except that one of my graphics has gone missing and doesn't want to show up in the left margin. There is still some clean up to do in that section as well as others.

But I do wish to alert you to a new service here at Stevestonivillage.com. Well it's not really new, just slightly altered. Dave had a page on the site for sales and coupons which he called the Steveston isaver. I have decided to eliminate the single page used for sales and promotion and have instead installed the same form on the Shopping page. I think I will also do this on the Service Businesses section as well as the Community Services section when time permits.

I have left some of the old submissions up so you can see where it is and what this will look like. These will be removed when new promotions start to come in.

Eligible Steveston businesses are more than welcome update the site with any current promotions or sales you are running in your Steveston business. At this time I would ask that you leave it to strictly sales,promotions and marketing. I will be building a new section where you can add a profile of your business but that is a little ways off at this point.

So you may be wondering "what does eligible Steveston business" mean? Good question and in simple terms if your business is already listed in the shopping section of this site you are eligible. So promote away!

If you are not listed already but think you are eligible I will use the Steveston Merchants Association as a guide as well as the V7E postal code.

Unfortunately I have to write this - SEOers who waste my time by trying to trick the site and me will never get on this site.
