StevestoniVillage.com Number Two Top Site in Local Travel and Tourism

(Steveston, BC Canada)

Today, StevestoniVillage.com, Steveston's premier community portal website, is now rated number two under the local travel and tourism category by Alexa, the top Web information company. Alexa, an amazon.com company, collects information on over 100-million sites worldwide, and rated StevestoniVillage.com just short of the number one spot held by a local travel agency, but above international hotels located in Richmond and even Tourism Richmond itself.

When site owner and developer, Dave Davis, was asked about his site's popularity, he said; "It took over three years of adding content almost daily to get to this point." Mr. Davis added that "Dedication to over delivering customer service to both site visitors, and Steveston businesses and organizations, has grown StevestoniVillage.com's popularity by leaps and bounds since launching in September, 2005."

StevestoniVillage.com has grown steadily since its launch, just over three years ago, spotlighting the delights of Steveston, the historic fishing village on the southwest corner of Richmond, B.C, to thousands of visitors from around the world and right here at home. Each month, Steveston iVillage grows—over 700 pages to date—as content and features promoting our quaint fishing village on the banks of the Fraser River are constantly being added or updated.

As a community portal, StevestoniVillage.com offers the information you need. Whether a visitor or a local, StevestoniVillage.com has something for everyone, such as:

  • An up-to-date community Events Calendar

  • Restaurant reviews

  • Printable, online coupons

  • Articles on the history of Steveston

  • A Community Telephone Directory

  • A list of free and inexpensive things to do in Steveston

  • Pictorials of the community

Having no shortage of visitors who take the time to post to our FAQ, Guestbook, Restaurant Reviews and other comment sections, or who write or phone directly, this posting pretty well says it all: "Well organized and easy to navigate, Dave has done a great job highlighting the best in Steveston. I am from the other side of the border, and this site offers great information about the area's businesses and events," says Mark Pflug of Lafayette, Indiana. Another, after seeing StevestoniVillage.com for the first time, from Harold Steves, long time Richmond City councilor, and great grandson of Steveston founder, William Steves says: "Your Steveston website is fantastic and very much needed!"

Sea Breeze Media, through StevestoniVillage.com, is fulfilling its mandate to promote Steveston and the Steveston business community locally and worldwide, allowing its visitors an inside look as to why Steveston is so special to locals and visitors alike. Dave Davis, owner of Sea Breeze Media states: "Our first three years with StevestoniVillage.com have been fantastic, and I look forward to further serving the needs of site visitors and local businesses."
