known, attracts thousands of visitors to Steveston's redeveloped waterfront. Steveston, once a major center for canned salmon, shipping product worldwide from what was once the world's busiest fishing port, is an appropriate backdrop for the fish market.

The Steveston Fish Market is a welcome addition to Steveston, with its historic sites, restaurants, parks and the Steveston Farmers and Artisans Market. Fresh caught BC seafood is a healthy dietary choice and even more so in this fresh-air environment.

When visiting the Steveston Fish Market, you can expect the following:

The Steveston Fish Market is open year round, but given that fishers often fish during the week, your best bet for finding the largest number of vendors and variety of seafood is Friday through Sunday from 8 am.
