elcome to our Steveston Farmers and Artisans Market page. Here, we will keep you up-to-date on market activities and events. Launched in May, 2008, the Steveston Farmers and Artisans Market attracted
thousands of visitors to Steveston. Steveston, once a major center for canned salmon, shipping product worldwide from what was once the world's busiest fishing port, is an appropriate backdrop for the market. The Market is moving south of last year's location at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery parking lot. It will now be located on the streets and boardwalk around Fishermen's Park at the corner of Third Avenue and Moncton Street in front of the Cannery.
The Steveston Farmers and Artisans Market is a welcome addition to Steveston, with its historic sites, restaurants, parks and Fisherman's Wharf. More and more people are taking the time to eat more healthy and sustainable food, as well as supporting local artists and craftspersons. Steveston Farmers and Artisans Market is a venue where local farmers, artists and craftspersons make their products available in an open, fresh-air environment.
