Steveston Salmon Festival - Celebrating Canada's birthday with a parade in Steveston BC.

The Steveston Salmon Festival has existed for over 6 decades since 1945. The main attraction is a salmon barbeque which sells out every year and boasts over 1200 pounds of wild salmon grilled cooke over an open flame barbeque. ( Source: Steveston Salmon Festival )

There are many other events some of which include a Trade show, Craft Fair, Japanese Cultural Show, a Canada Day parade and a lot of events for children.

This year I went to Steveston to attend the Canada Day parade as part of Steveston Salmon Festival. As I have only taken over www.stevestonivillage.com since the begining of January 2011 my plan was to take pictures of the parade for this website.
