Steveston Museum's Summer Music Series
Join artists, both established and emerging, as they exhibit and create works in the park at the Steveston Museum Summer Music Series this Saturday, July 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The series continues on Saturday, July 24 with a focus on new and traditional crafts and wraps up on Saturday, August 7 with a combined art and craft day. “This music series offers families fabulous and free fun with an historic twist,” says Gabrielle Sharp, Steveston Museum’s Coordinator. “We’ve got a focus on contemporary yet traditional music and historic arts and crafts, but we also encourage new and emerging artists and craftspeople. Above all, we want to raise awareness about the huge range of talent and creative opportunities in our community.” “Did I mention the music? Each of the three Saturdays will have two performers. This Saturday includes contemporary folk music from Soft Focus at 12:30 p.m. and extraordinary Latin music from Sangre Morena at 2 p.m.” Bring you lunch, a folding chair or blanket to sit upon and be prepared for great music and great art. Artists exhibit runs from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and the music starts at 12:30 p.m. Steveston Museum is located at 3811 Moncton Street, Richmond, in the heart of Steveston Village.
