Steveston Hosts Event for Animals and Their Owners
by City of Richmond
Animal lovers and experts will be joined by dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and other small animals to provide information on many pet-related topics including the growing overpopulation and abandonment issues in Richmond and the Lower Mainland. This free community day of events, an initiative of City of Richmond Bylaws and Parks Departments, is designed to promote animal safety awareness, responsible pet ownership and the numerous animal welfare services available in Richmond. There will be displays from multiple organizations ranging from rescue groups to trainers focusing on animal safety and responsible pet ownership, as well as information on trainers and pet care facilities in the Richmond area. For more information, please call 604-247-4609 or email Sophia.Malawiya@richmond.ca.
