On Tuesday, September 29, 2009 the ballots for the election of the Steveston Homeport Gillnet Fishermen and Steveston Homeport Independent Fishermen were counted by a representative from KPMG. The results are as follows:
Steveston Homeport Gillnet Fishermen- 35 ballots received:
Bob Morimoto: 18
Mike Rekis: 16
Spoiled ballot: 1
Total: 35
As per the results, Bob Morimoto is the Board Director and Mike Rekis is the Corporate Member.
Steveston Homeport Independent Fishermen- 48 ballots received:
David Bell: 8
Tim Joys: 1
Frank Keitsch: 16
Paul Kershaw: 14
Brian Veljacic: 9
Total: 48
As per the results, Frank Keitsch is the Board Director and Paul Kershaw is the Corporate Member.
