“Illiteratty” 7.30pm Thursday May 19th. Where: Britannia Heritage Shipyard Chinese Bunkhouse 5180 Westwater Drive, Steveston BC. 7.30pm Tickets. $8 at the door. Illiteratty performs poetic, silly, angry, fun original folk music, featuring Earle Peach, Albert Klassen, Wanda Mundy and Rev Nixon on percussion. Earle has played with many Vancouver groups, such as Songtree, Natural Elements, Ship of Fools, Flying Ship, Sudanda etc. He conducts multiple choirs and teaches a variety of musical skills, and created lots of music for theatre, film, and video. He writes most of the songs for Illiteratty. Albert played bass with Natural Elements, Balzac, Push3 among others bands; and plays mandolin with the Nohearums, between building mandolins and fixing stuff. Wanda Mundy played with bands such as CANO, the Henpals among others. Rev Nixon is a working professional percussionist and singer, and plays with Clare de Lune, Sandy Schofield, Gary Comeau and others. Call 604-272-9294 to reserve a seat This will be a great concert.
