by Mike Corbin
Where: Britannia Heritage Shipyard Chinese Bunkhouse 5180 Westwater Drive, Steveston BC. 7.30pm Tickets. $8 at the door. We proudly welcome Brian back to SFG. Brian was one of the first performers at the Guild back there in 1999.Brian Robertson is perhaps best known for writing finely crafted songs about the west coast, based on a lifetime of living here. His work life has been varied - as commercial fisherman, cabbie, engineer, economist and historian - and from that springs the variety and depth of his subject matter. But he’s also a purveyor of some fine songs about love, travel and the blues as well as a noted singer of rousing shanties. When he’s not making solo appearances, celtic music is another passion, in which he appears as a guitarist and vocalist for the Irish Wakers and as a frequent guest of The Jocelyn Band.
