Review: Little Mexico Cantina
What a great little restaurant in the middle of nowhere! We have looked high and low for authentic Mexican cuisine in and around Vancouver, and all we can find are the typical places that serve the Americanized version of Mexican (ie... tacos, burritos filled with cold "mexi" spiced ground beef... and nachose piled high with cheap tasteless cheeses... how delicious *barf*). This little restaurant is different, serving up traditional Mexican dishes! No spicy "mexi" rice with ground beef here! Hurray! The food is great, the ambience great, and the service great! No greasy American Mexican here! Ask for the cornbread... it is incredible! And if you are up to it, try the banana cheesecake, it's to die for. |
