Review: Kari House Restaurant
I was in the area and wanted something new, so I decided to give Kari House Restaurant a try. Upon arrival, my friend and I were greeted by a friendly lady (who owns the place, I think), and provided quality service throughout. We each opted for one of the lunch specials for $7. I had the chicken satays w/peanut sauce and my friend had a tom yam chicken stir fry. Both came w/soup, salad and rice. The food was quite tasty, though my satays were a little more oily than you'd expect for a skewer of chicken, it left a small pool of yellowish oil. The peanut sauce that accompanied it was flavorful, but not overly seasoned. The stir fry was obviously meant to be eaten with the rice, since it was a bit salty on its own. The salad was nice and refreshing, and I thought the light dressing had a wonderful balance of sweet and sour with a nice citrus tang.
