Review: Blackberry Bistro—Awesome Place for Gelato

DINEHERE.CA—This place is brand new. I took a chance and ordered their gelato, which they make themselves. I was impressed and bought a litre of it home with me. I'll be back to try something from their lunch menu. Scanning through the menu, I thought the prices were reasonable, from 3.00 to 10.00. The items on the menu looked interesting, mixing different Asian cuisines together.

Missed out on reviewing this place for dinner a few Sundays ago - was closed - but got a chance yesterday to try on some of their homemade gelato. Well, I chose their namesake - blackberry - and it was very fruitful (pun intended). Flavored with real fruit, seeds and all, plus extra flavoring, this was some of the freshest-tasting gelato I've ever had. Think they're the only place in Steveston that makes their own, in-house gelato.
