Pajo's Fish and Chips "Best" in the Lower Mainland

by Gladys Quimby
(Vancouver, BC Canada)

We met up with sis and her husband yesterday and all went out to Steveston for an afternoon adventure. It was a perfect day for strolling and window shopping, but first we had to fortify ourselves. Pajos Fish and Chips has a stand right on the wharf—best fish & chips in the Lower Mainland, in my opinion.

Pajo's a disappointment
by: Anonymous

Having heard for so long that Pajo's has the best fish and chips, well I and my family were at the wharf and hungry, so we decided to give it a go.

After waiting in line for about 20 minutes, which we took as a good sign, finally we could order. Of the three of us, two wanted fish and chips, but the other wanted the chowder, which they didn't have. That was a little disappointing, but all of us then went for fish and chips. When we got them the fish was hot, but the chips were cold and all of it was extremely greasy! Picking up the food we had grease running down our hands and arms and after a couple bites, if we had been cars, we would have been well lubricated. Maybe we just caught them on a day where they were too busy to keep up quality, I don't know. But,all of us would hesitate to go to Pajo's on the Wharf again.
