Last Thursday while strolling along Moncton enjoying the sunshine, I noticed a few hotrods in the Community Centre parking lot near the Community Police Station. Turns out they had been booted from Blundell Mall (something to do with not buying enough coffees). Anyway, their loss, our gain.
The Richmond Street Rodders Club was formed in 2005 by a group of like-minded enthusiasts who wanted to share their love affair with vehicles and enjoy the camaraderie of other owners. The club is growing and there are many different varieties of vehicles including:
- Street Rods (Originals, Coupes, Convertibles, Sedans, Trucks)
- GM (Corvette, Chevelle, Camaro, Firebird, GTO, Full-size)
- Ford (Cobra, Falcon, Full-size)
- Mopar (Dart)
- Imports (Healey, VW, TR)
Club members participate in fun social activities and cruising. An important part of this club is the involvement in the community by participating in various car shows, which contribute to fundraising for charities. There are no formal meetings, nor is the club 'Official' with the government.
So, if you want to see some beautiful customs and rods during their informal meets in Steveston, go on down on Thursday nights between 6 pm and 9:30 pm and say 'Hi', welcome to Steveston.
