Local B&B honored with award at last night's 2009 Service Awards Ceremony Celebration

Picture Perfect Bed and Breakfast took another award last night at the 2009 Service Awards Ceremony Celebration held at Gateway Theatre. Dave and Leslie Kemp, owners, accepted Tourism Richmond's Service Award for Attractions for 2009. The Kemp's were similarily honored in 2005 with the Gateway Award for Service Excellence, also from Tourism Richmond.

One nominator wrote: "Very friendly hosts who could answer all our questions or would find out on the Internet. They were full of local knowledge. And, of course, Bandit (the dog) just makes the welcome complete."

The Service Awards program recognizes individuals or organizations, that have made a significant contribution to Richmond's tourism industry. Visitors and industry members nominate their choices throughout the year by completing a nomination form, and depositing their entry in one of the many ballot boxes located throughout Richmond.

Dave and Lesley are long time Richmond residents, who have traveled the world, and are knowledgeable about our local area and British Columbia. Dave worked for many years in customer service in the travel industry, and Lesley is a librarian with a wealth of information at her fingertips. Dave is also an award winning photographer and Bandit, their resident bichon frise, loves to greet people.
