There are also world class martial arts programs held at the first dojo built outside Japan. This dojo often hosts national and international tournaments where its own members rank highly in the competitions.Garry Point Park is a popular place for kite flying, kite boarding, biking, running and walking, with the ocassional kite surfer taking to the Steveston Channel waters. Steveston Community Park, next to the Community Centre, is play heaven for young children and now features a brand new water park for toddlers and up, with access—with water wheelchair—for kids with mobility problems. It is one of only two such water parks in Richmond. For kids into bikes, there's the Steveston Bike Park, where they can exercise their BMX and mountain bike skills.
