n the heart of Steveston Village, a new style of retailing has emerged. At Jet-Lag Travel Fashion Boutique, they not only outfit women, they help them get fit. It's�"Truly Consumable Retailing" with refreshments,

Jet-Lag is a ladies boutique,�serving women of all ages and walks of life with everyday, travel and dressy wear. For over 26 years, the store has�been a�community fixture where ladies can visit, relax and enjoy browsing with a cup of tea or coffee in hand.

Since buying the store in July, 2005, Vicki and Moe Hodgson have added some new and exciting�innovations, like adding a TV lounge area for kids, and offering refreshments�to everyone.�They routinely�take orders for customer requests, and have introduced Fashion Pilates with Yoga Stretch on Sunday mornings in the store!

A common complaint from women in mid-life is�of unshapely tummies and arms.�Their Fashion Pilates is specially effective in addressing these problem areas.�Their floor fixtures are on wheels, and can be easily relocated to one side of the store opening

Classes are held Sunday morning, at 8:45 and 10:15. While Pilates and yoga are all the rage in community centers, dance and fitness studios, theirs cater to a particular age demographic, and�offered within a retail setting with complimentary merchandise. Retail General Manager and Regional Buyer, Vicki Hodgson,�with 18 years corporate retail experience at Vancouver International Airport, was diagnosed last year with a neurological disorder.
