How do I get a job on a fishing boat?
Hi, I know that Steveston has a large number of fishing boats, so I was wondering how could I get a job aboard said boats? Thanks. Reply: Thanks for asking. This one took a little digging and the feedback was that each fisher hires for themself, but sometimes will post on the Steveston Harbour Authority bulletin board or across the street at the Fisherman's Boot Cafe. You may wish to hang out at the 'Boot', or make contact with fishers at the Public Sales Floats at Fisherman's Wharf in the village. Basically, hang where the fishers hang and make contacts.
