Has the Market actually switched to biweekly?

I was checking out the Steveston.bc.ca website. We have friends coming from the UK the end of May till the 19th of June. The website says the Farmers' Market opens May 24th and then biweekly from there. I seem to recall it ran every Sunday until October.
My friend is interested in going to the market and I had planned for us to go on the 31st (the only free Sunday we have). Now, if it opens on the 24th and is biweekly then the next Market won't be until June 7th and we miss out. Having it every second Sunday really doesn't make sense, as it brings a lot of activity into the community.
We are going to be away from June 7-14. It has always been my friends dream to visit the Icefields so, that is where we are headed. Road trip!
Anyway, I find that often the information on the Steveston.bc.ca website is incorrect. Can you let me know if you have the real "scoop" on the Market days. Thanks, Valerie.
Reply: Thanks for asking, Valerie, but what you read on the other site is actually correct this time. It was weekly in 2008, but switched to biweekly for 2009 due to a shortage of volunteers, I'm told. Click here for more information on the Steveston Farmers and Artisians Market.
Enjoy,
