Hello everyone

I wish to thank all of you for your moral support and donations to the children hospital.

We raised over 19-thousand-dollars and our goal was 20.

We leave today (Thursday) and will return Nov. 2. But, starting this weekend you should be able to get daily audio updates by clicking on climb updates on the left side of the page.

Again, Ann, Shelley and myself wish you the best for Thanksgiving,
and Halloween 2007.

Bye for now,

Howard

Hello Everyone

Hope all is well. We arrived midnight Friday. Sat. we did a gear check, rented double boots, harness, ice axes, clamp on.

Spent 6 hours exploring Quito's old town. Clean, friendly and cheap. It cost us $14.10 for lunch for 6.

Sunday we went on our warm-up hike. Quito is 9200 ft., took a tramp to 11200 ft.
hiked to 13700. WE ALL FEEL GOOD. No medicine. I am glad I did all that training.
Monday we leave for the second mountain on our list 15700. ACTIVE VOLANCO.
I will try to email at a later date in the trip if I can find a internet access. 13700 ft is like putting Grouse on top of Mount baker.

Take care,

Howard
