EVENT: Music at the Cannery: Fraser Union This Friday
This Friday, August 6th @ 6:30 pm, join us for Fraser Union. Known for their repertoire of Canadian material, Fraser Union has been a mainstay of the British Columbia folk music scene for many years. Their style runs the range of blues, to songs of West Coast life. If you’ve been around the Cannery you’ve probably heard their CD in our player, so come put faces to the sound! Also on Friday, come celebrate Water and World Peace Day with the Still Moon Arts Society! There will be workshops and more leading up to the concert, and a parade to Garry Point after the show. As always, admission is by donation (suggested donation $5/person) and all donations go towards ensuring that we can continue this wonderful event next year! We have limited room on our Tank Deck, and five of our previous seven shows have sold out, so please arrive early to avoid disappointment. (Doors normally open around 5:30.) If it rains, join us inside the Cannery. And don’t forget that this Sunday, August 8 is Salmon Stomp! Join us for a full day of wonderful performances. Free admission to the Cannery on August 8 courtesy of G&F Financial Group (donations always welcome). We have a full August planned… stay tuned for more news about Maritime Fest, the Wild B.C Seafood Fest, and the last few Music at the Cannery shows for this year. See you at the Cannery!
