Buck and Ear Pub Liquor License Suspended

On September 2, 2009 a hearing was held between the Liquor Control and Licencing Branch and the Buck and Ear Pub. As a result of the hearing the Pub will be suspended from September 11, 2009 to September 15, 2009. The liquor license will be pulled on September 11th and suspension signs will be posted. The Buck and Ear has also been ordered to pay a monetary penalty of $5000 within 30 days.

The Richmond RCMP has attended calls for service directly and indirectly related to the Buck and Ear Pub, located at 12111 3rd Avenue In Steveston, for several months prior to a joint inspection conducted by both the Richmond RCMP and the Liquor Control and Licencing Branch.
           
On March 13th, 2009 the Richmond RCMP and the Liquor Control and Licencing Branch  teamed up for a joint inspection utilizing plain-clothes members from both agencies. During this inspection, inspectors observed intoxicated patrons and fights inside the pub. Outside the pub, patrons were observed urinating in public, leaving with beer bottles and fighting in the street.

A hearing between representatives of the Buck and Ear Pub and the Liquor Control and Licencing Branch has been set for the month of September.
