Artisans' Galleria Hosts 3rd Annual Out of the Woodwork Exhibition
by Dave Davis
This year’s exhibition features items that are created from eco-friendly wood such as blow downs, recycled, etc, anything except commercially seasoned wood. This is always a popular event as we have some very talented wood workers, carvers and turners who participate. Everyone is invited to attend the opening reception on Saturday, April 25th from noon until four. This event is held in conjunction with Arts and Culture Week and is a great opportunity to view the exhibit and meet some of the artists. The show runs until May 19th, so if you can’t make it on April 25th, please make a point of stopping by prior to May 19th. This event is free to the public and your support is appreciated. The Artisans’ Galleria is located at 3651 Moncton St. in the heart of Steveston Village and is open from 10 – 5. For further information please call 604-241-2790. -- The Community Arts Council of Richmond, a non profit charity, appreciates the partial support this year from Arts and Culture week, the British Columbia Arts Council and the Assembly of BC Arts Councils. |
