Another election update from our MLA, John Yap

With only 16 days to go until the May 12th provincial election my campaign office is running at full tilt. Over the past 10 days I have been door knocking 6 hours a day, 7 days a week, and knocked on over 4000 doors. As this email is being sent out, we are currently having a Super Saturday door knocking blitz with nearly 30 volunteers out knocking on doors. The main concerns that I am hearing on the doorstop are the Economy, Jobs and Crime. What have you been hearing? Send me an email at john.yap@bcliberals.com and let me know.

Over the next couple weeks we will be attending a number of all candidate meetings around Richmond. If you are interested in attending any of the following please contact us at the campaign office for further details. We would love to have your support as we debate the issues:

• Richmond Centre for Disability and the Richmond Chamber of Commerce All Candidates Meeting, April 27 at Minoru Place Activity Centre 6 - 9pm


• Richmond Community Services Advisory Centre All Candidates Meeting, May 4, 2009 at the Gateway Theatre 6:30 - 9:30pm

We are still in need of volunteers for many different positions. Even a few hours of your time is of great help to me and my team. Please take a look at the following list and let me know if you are able to take part in any of these activities:

• Daily Door knocking (10am - 12pm, 1pm - 3pm, 4pm - 6pm)


• Assisting in our daily phone banks to identify BC Liberal supporters


• I will need hundreds of volunteers for Election Day
